What it helps

Where it works.

Good fit, not a fit

Who it’s for, and who it isn’t.

A good fit if

  • Dark hair, because laser targets pigment
  • Most skin tones. We use a wavelength suited to deeper skin
  • Razor bumps and ingrown hairs

Not a fit if

  • Blonde, red, grey or white hair, which lasers do not treat well
  • A recent tan or self-tan on the area
  • Pregnancy
  • Some light-sensitizing medicines. Tell us what you take

How it works

In plain words.

The laser sends light into the hair, where the pigment absorbs it and turns it into heat. That heat damages the follicle so that it grows less hair. It only works on hairs that are actively growing, which is why you need several sessions.

Your visit

What actually happens.

  1. Patch test

We check your skin and hair, choose a wavelength that suits your skin tone, and test a small patch if needed.

  2. See your total

Your area and its session price are on the menu. We will tell you how many sessions to expect.

  3. Treatment

Shave the day before. Goggles on. Each area takes minutes, with cooling to keep you comfortable.

  4. Aftercare

Wear SPF on exposed skin and skip hot showers and exercise for 24 hours. Come back in 4–8 weeks.

Redness, swelling around the follicles and a warm or tender feeling for a few hours.

Less common

Temporarily darker or lighter patches of skin, more likely on deeper skin tones or tanned skin. Crusting or blistering.

Serious

Burns and, rarely, scarring. Rarely, hair can grow more in nearby areas. Contact us about any blistering or severe pain.

FAQ

Real questions.

Is it permanent?

It offers long-term reduction, not guaranteed permanent removal. Most clients see a big drop in hair, and some need a yearly touch-up.

Does it work on dark skin?

Yes, with the right laser. We use a longer wavelength that is better suited to deeper skin tones, and we patch test first.

Does it work on grey or blonde hair?

Not well. The laser needs dark pigment to work. We would rather tell you than sell you sessions that will not help.

Does it hurt?

Most people describe a warm snap, like a rubber band. Our device cools your skin as it goes.

How do I prepare?

Shave the day before, do not wax or pluck for 4 weeks, and avoid tanning.

How many sessions will I need?

Usually 6–8, spaced 4–8 weeks apart. Hormonal areas such as the chin can take more.
