Book wrinkle relaxer

A worked example

Forehead and 11s usually take 20–40 units of Botox®, so about $300–$600 at $15 a unit, or $240–$480 at the member price. Dysport® units are smaller, so you need about 2.5 of them for each Botox® unit. The cost ends up close, so choose on what your provider recommends rather than on the per-unit number.

What it helps

Where it goes.

Good fit, not a fit

Who it’s for, and who it isn’t.

A good fit if

  • Lines that appear when you frown, squint or raise your brows
  • You want to look rested, not different
  • You are happy to come back every 3–4 months if you like it

Not a fit if

  • Deep lines visible at rest, which may respond better to filler or skin treatments
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Some nerve and muscle conditions, or an allergy to any ingredient
  • A recent infection at the treatment site

How it works

In plain words.

Wrinkle relaxers are tiny, measured doses of a prescription medicine called botulinum toxin. Placed in a small muscle, it tells that muscle to relax for a few months. The skin over it creases less. Your face still moves, and the goal is that nobody can tell what you did.

Your visit

What actually happens.

  1. Free consult

Tell us what you have noticed. Your provider checks your health history and tells you honestly whether this suits you.

  2. See your total

You get a number before anything happens. If it is more than you want to spend, we can do less or stop there.

  3. Treatment

A few quick pinches with a very fine needle. Usually done in under 20 minutes, with no numbing needed.

  4. Aftercare and check-in

Stay upright for 4 hours and skip hard exercise until tomorrow. We check in at 2 weeks and adjust if needed.

Risks and safety

The part most sites skip.

Common

Small bumps, redness, bruising or tenderness where the needle went in. Headache.

Less common

A temporary droop of the eyelid or brow, or an uneven look. These fade as the medicine wears off.

Serious

Very rarely, the effect can spread beyond the treatment area and cause trouble swallowing, breathing or speaking, or muscle weakness, hours to weeks later. Get medical care right away if this happens.

FAQ

Real questions.

Will I look frozen?

Not if the dose is right, and we start conservatively. You can always add more at your 2-week check-in, but you cannot take it away, so we would rather go slowly.

Does it hurt?

Most clients describe a quick pinch. It is over in minutes and you do not need numbing.

How many units will I need?

It depends on your muscles and the look you want. Forehead and 11s usually take 20–40 units. Your provider confirms your dose before anything happens, so you always know the total first.

Why is Dysport® $5 and Botox® $15?

The units are not the same size. You need about 2.5 Dysport® units for each Botox® unit, so the total ends up close.

What happens if I stop?

Your muscles go back to moving as they did. Nothing is permanent, and your lines do not get worse because you stopped.

Can I work out afterward?

Skip hard exercise until tomorrow, and stay upright for 4 hours.

What if it comes out uneven?

Come back for your 2-week check-in. Small touch-ups are how we fine-tune, and we will tell you up front if one has a cost.
